Wild & Held grew out of a lifetime of work rooted in care, education, and community support. For more than fifteen years, I have worked as a special education teacher, supporting students with diverse learning needs through patient, individualized, and strengths-based instruction. This experience shaped my belief in consistency, attunement, and the importance of meeting individuals where they are.

Alongside my work in education, I have spent over two decades in the birth and postpartum field. My experience includes midwifery apprenticeship at a birth center, in-hospital support, and ongoing postpartum care for families as they adjust to life with a new baby. Supporting families during this tender period has deepened my understanding of regulation, transition, and the value of calm, steady presence.

Animal care has always been part of my life as well. I have rescued three dogs who now make a well-matched, reliable pack, and I bring that same respect for structure, safety, and enrichment to my dog walking and hiking services. Time outdoors—on the trail and in the community—is an essential part of how I care for both people and animals.

I am also a parent to three grown children, an experience that continues to inform my work with families and learners. Across all areas of my practice, my approach is practical, relationship-based, and deeply rooted in service. Wild & Held reflects my commitment to providing care that is steady, respectful, and responsive—support that helps individuals feel both free and held.
